Not Tracking CPA Network Offers Can Hurt Your Profits
ByI was stunned recently when profits from my 2 niche blogs dropped 70%. What’s going on? But first thing first, 2 blogs are in health-related niche and my monetization strategy with them is to serve CPA network offers (mostly free product trials and discounted products).
Refreshment on CPA network - it is “Cost-Per-Action” or “Cost-Per-Lead” performance-based middle man between product owners and affiliates (much like Clickbank). However, you are not limited to [offer] digital products like with Clickbank, and your visitors can sign up for free trials, submit emails, or buy common goods.
Back to blogs. I have to admit I did not pay much attention to these blogs as they are running on semi-autopilot. Meaning, I usually upload 2 months worth of modified PLR content to these blogs, publish related CPA offers, Clickbank products and Amazon books. Blogs required very little maintenance and I usually check stats on them once a month… my mistake.
Between 2 blogs, there are about 100 published posts and blogs were performing very well. Apparently what happen was few publishers recalled (closed) their offers and I did not get notified by CPA network. Look at this broken link screenshot:
Another mistake I made is pasting CPA affiliate links directly into blogs. Actually, it was somewhat forced decision – there is no good Wordpress plugin, that I know of, to manage both banners and links throughout entire blog in posts and sidebars. I’ll look for solution and will post it in a future, if found…
Meantime, 80+ pages of good content laying out there on the web with broken links.
What do you think I should do?

I know Dennis, CPA CPM PPC CRM and other acronyms can drive anyone crazy, cannot blame you
But we gotta take effort and learn them as they are part of IM business dictionary. It’s like if I am in a car repair business and I have no idea what valve is.
