Affiliate Marketing For Newbies

Posted by: Max | Comments (6)

Affiliate marketing is by far the easiest way to start online business. You don’t need to create your own product, deal with customer support, returns, payments and other tasks. Affiliate simply is a middle man between product vendor and customer, and a sole role for affiliate is to market a product. For the effort, affiliate will receive a cut from the sale (commissions) frequently as high as 75%.

With a huge supply of products available to affiliates, you can start affiliate business in pretty much ANY market – from selling ringtones, how-to ebooks to cruise vacation packages. However, my recommendation is start with products that will pay you $20 and up in commissions. Many affiliates begin with selling ebooks from Clickbank and Paydotcom. Both networks provide big selection of ebooks and courses in a variety of markets.

money blog Simon learned how to build blog with wordpress in 5 days, and felt confident creating posts, pages, installing and configuring plugins and we were ready for the next step – Content.

money blogI wanted to put together this case study for a long time. Actually, it’s a blueprint for how to setup successful niche blog pulling $100+ a month on autopilot with affiliate products.

It all started with my friend Simon – newbie in internet marketing, but driven to succeed. He had a little knowledge of HTML and setting up sites at the time, read mostly free info online about keyword research and affiliate marketing and was fired up to make his first sale online.

I agreed to help him and take through all steps to build his first affiliate blog with one condition only – I can share his story on my blog.

Here is what we did over a period of 3 weeks to setup a blog making him $100+ a month now.

ninja-affiliate-plugin If you are trying to make money by selling ad spaces, placing banners and writing paid review then you are leaving behind a huge chunk of money on the table. You can actually earn two to four times more from your blog by promoting affiliate programs.

How? You can do so by linking specific keywords in your blog posts with affiliate programs.

Take the following example:

Your blog is about Health and Fitness and you published posts about “healthy diet”. What you can do is you can link that very keyword to an affiliate program. Now your readers can follow that link to buy the related product and you’ll be the one earning commission out of it.

Let’s say you have another post and you have the phrase “aerobic exercise”. You can link this keyword to a good aerobic exercise tutorial video and if your readers buy the video from that very link you’ll be the one getting paid again.

Drop Adsense – Go Affiliate Marketing

Posted by: Max | Comments (0)

This post reports result of my test to evaluate performance of affiliate products versus Adsense. I choose affiliate product in TV market and decided to publish Squidoo review-type lens for this product, since I don’t have my own blog related to TV.

Squidoo lens setup. Short, about 500 words, review of the affiliate product optimized for TV-related keywords.

My lens had one link to the product with call to action, and Squidoo served Adsense ads. I decided from the start NOT to promote or update the lens to keep test clean.
