Viliat Facelift Is Almost Over

By Max

money blog For over two years I was not very satisfied with wordpress themes – both free and premium (paid). Main reason being in-flexibility of the themes. Yes, premium themes have great design and features, but many times I need something extra such as adding menu on top of banner, or adding featured product reviews right below a banner, or moving sidebar on the left side.

For every theme modification, I had to learn specifics of each theme, and remembering and managing this information became a hassle. Also, free theme frequently broke with new WP or plugin upgrades. Good luck trying to get a support for free theme if you want something extra or need support asap.

I recently found a theme that I simply believe is the best on the market and it allows me to make a blog as customized as I need. Theme called FlexxTheme from iThemes and I can control every aspect of the blog – menu bar, categories bar, featured areas, sidebars, bottom featured areas and many more. I bought multi-license for FlexxTheme right away, mainly because I’ll using this theme on practically all my blogs, especially niche product blogs. Viliat just undergone facelift with FlexxTheme and it took me exactly 20 minutes! I also created 4 new blogs (under 2 hours) each with unique theme layout and features, using [you guess] FlexxTheme.

Anyway, without trying to sound like broken salesman, I’ll leave it up to you to explore this new theme and I am pretty sure you’ll be satisfied.

Another news – I upgraded Viliat to WP 2.7 over the weekend and just love new 2.7 version. It was no problems with upgrade and if you still think to upgrade or not, I recommend jumping on it. After upgrade you can also lose quite a few plugins (their functionality was incorporated in WP 2.7 core), making your blog to load and perform faster.

Hey, Max:

It looks great. I’ve never heard of the Flexx Theme, but it has a pretty cool design. It is always nice to find a wp theme that is flexible and easy to customize.

What type of niche blogs do you tend to create?

Hey Missy, welcome back.

FlexxTheme is a brand new theme released in November and I am still playing with features (changing colors, links, icons and so on). I like what I see so far mainly because of flexibility of the theme - I can create anything from a sophisticated blog to one-page landing page. And once I learn my way around the theme, I don’t need to deal with other theme ever…

niche blogs are mostly in health and computer games markets [recession-proof]
